About Capstone Ministries and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya

In addition to his ministry at Capstone, Dan also serves as a pastor in the ELCK under the Bishop of the Lake Diocese: Rt. Rev. Bishop Richard Amayo.  

Dan is an ordained Lutheran pastor and is also currently serving in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya in the Lake Diocese at the Kisumu parish.  He is in charge of the English service.  In this capacity, he and Patty and have been able to expand their influence to the benefit of Capstone Ministries and as a blessing to the people also. 

During the post-election violence of early 2008, Dan and Patty were one of the few ex-patriots that remained in Kisumu and were well placed to offer encouragement and assistance to many people in need.

Dan also frequently is asked to preach in some of the surrounding congregations in the Lake Diocese, teach at conferences and gatherings.  He will also be teaching Homiletics at the Matongo Lutheran Theological College in the fall of 2009.

Capstone is also a ministry under the Lake Diocese of the ELCK and Bishop Richard Amayo also serves on the local board and is a trustee of Capstone Ministries.
